Ingredients to make chanadal fritters

  • bengal gram or chanadal 1cup
  • gramflour /besan 4tbsp
  • chopped onion 4tbsp
  • green chilli 2
  • coriender leaves 3tbsp
  • fenugreek leaves 2tbsp
  • water as needed
  • salt to taste
  • redchilli powder 1tsp
  • ginger 1small piece
  • garlic 3-4pods
  • oil for frying

How to make chanadal fritters

  1. Soak dal for 2-3hours
  2. After 2-3hours remove extra water and keep it in a seive for 5minutes
  3. Now take soaked dal in a mixer jar add green chillies,ginger and garlic and make a paste of it
  4. Remove this paste in a vessel add besan in it
  5. Add salt redchilli powder,coriender leaves ,and fenugreek leaves in it and mix well
  6. If needed add little water(only if mixture is so dry)
  7. Heat oil in a pan
  8. Take small portion for mixture and give it a flat round shape and put it in to hot oil for frying
  9. Fry these fritters on medium flame till a golden and crisp taxture then remove from oil
  10. Serve hot with sauce or chutney
