ABOUT Churmuri (puffed rice) RECIPE

Churumuri recipe is an instant, most loved street food which can be prepared by tossing some puffed rice with spices and mixing chopped vegetables. This chat recipe is popular in udupi and mangalore. I remember dragging my family and friends whenever i pass by churmuri stall or when we go beach. All generation people love to eat this recipe.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. 3 cup puffed rice
  2. 2 cup sev or chivda
  3. 1 medium carrot, grated
  4. 1 Cucumber, Chopped
  5. 1 Onion, chopped
  6. 1 Tomato, chopped
  7. 2 green chilles
  8. 1 Raw mango, chopped
  9. 1/4 cup coriander leaves
  10. 2 pod Garlic, finely chopped
  11. 1/2 tsp chat masala
  12. 1 tsp red chilly powder
  13. 1 tsp Cumin powder, roasted
  14. Few Roasted Peanuts
  15. Salt to taste
  16. 1 tbsp Coconut oil

Instructions

  1. Take a bowl and add in finely chopped onion,tomato, grated carrot,grated cucumber, grated raw mango, finely chopped garlic and green chilli. Mix well.
  2. Add in chat masala powder, red chili powder, roasted cumin powder, salt,lemon juice, coriander leaves, sev/ chivda, puffed rice and peanuts .Mix well
  3. Finally add coconut oil and give a last mix.
  4. Serve immediately.
