ABOUT Mango malai chum chum RECIPE

It's a very famous dessert in Bengal. I have given it a twist by adding mango rabdi on top. Easy to prepare and delicious to taste.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Milk 1litre
  2. Lemon juice 1/2of a lemon
  3. sugar 1 cup
  4. Sooji 2tsp
  5. Pista few
  6. Kesar few strands
  7. For rabdi-
  8. Milk 1cup
  9. Condensed milk 1/2cup
  10. Mango 1

Instructions

  1. Make chhena from 1ltr full cream milk by curdling with lemon juice.
  2. Add sooji and knead well.
  3. Make small balls and stuff a small piece of pista & 2strands of kesar, again make balls and flatten them a little.
  4. Add sugar and 3cups of water in a pressure cooker. When it comes to boil add few kesar and put the chenna balls. Cover and wait for 1 whistle. Then simmer and cook for 7/8mins.
  5. Cool the cooker under water and take out the Chum Chum from the sugar syrup.
  6. Rabdi- Boil milk and when reduce to half, add condensed milk and cook till all combines well.
  7. Switch off and add puree of a mango.
  8. Cool down both Chum Chum and rabdi.
  9. Take 1 chum chum, place rabdi on top & garnish with chopped pista, kaju & kesar. Serve.
