Rajma Masala Pulao

Ingredients to make Rajma Masala Pulao

  • 150 grams rajma /Kidney beans
  • 150 grams pulao rice of choice
  • 1 medium onion chopped
  • 1 tomato chopped
  • 1 tblspn ginger garlic paste
  • 1 tspn garlic crushed
  • salt to taste
  • 1 tspn red chilli powder (hot as per choice)
  • 1 tspn garam masala
  • 1 tspn cummin corriander powder
  • 1/2 tspn cummin powder
  • 1 1/2 tblspn ghee
  • Some Fresh cilantro to garnish

How to make Rajma Masala Pulao

  1. Soaked rajma ,kidney beans clean and wash
  2. Add ginger garlic salt and 1tspn red chilli put to boil in pressure cooker 15 minutes
  3. Remove pressure and strain out Rajma water in a bowl keep rajma beans in separate bowl
  4. Keep all ingredients ready
  5. Now in a pot take 1 1/2 tblspn ghee,heat and add some crushed garlic,curry leaves and onions to saute'
  6. Add the tomatoes now and saute 2 minutes
  7. Add the Boiled Rajma water, seasoning 1tspn red chilli powder,1 tspn garam masala ,1 /2tspn cummin powder
  8. Mix this well ,now add soaked rice and check if some extra water required,and add asap
  9. Cook the pulao for 8 minutes on slow flame
  10. Now remove in a dish to serve
  11. On the pulao now add the separate ly kept Rajma beans lightly mix here there to avoid breaking them
  12. Garnish with some corriander and some curd

My Tip:

Soak rajma 8 hrs Boil with sime salt ginger garlic paste ,cummin corriander powder
