ABOUT Tandoori Veg Momos RECIPE

Steamed dumplings coated in spicy Tandoori marinade and cooked to a smoky perfection.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 1 cup all-purpose flour
  2. 1/2 Tsp Salt
  3. 1 tbsp Oil
  4. 1/4 cup Milk
  5. Water as required
  6. For stuffing-
  7. 1 cup Cabbage, grated
  8. 1 Carrot, grated
  9. 1 Capsicum chopped
  10. Salt to taste
  11. 1/2 Tsp Chilly powder
  12. 1/4 tsp soy sauce
  13. 1 tsp vinegar
  14. 2 tbsp coriander leaves
  15. For marination-
  16. 1/2 cup hung curd
  17. 1 tbsp tandoori Masala
  18. 1/2 tsp garam masala
  19. Salt to taste
  20. Pinch of red colour optional

Instructions

  1. TAKE 1 CUP FLOUR, ADD 1/2 TSP SALT, 1/4 CUP MILK
  2. ADD WATER, 1 TBSP OIL, KNEAD INTO A SMOOTH DOUGH
  3. LEAVE TO REST FOR 20 MINS
  4. DIVIDE THE DOUGH INTO SMALL PORTIONS, ROLL INTO POORIS
  5. PLACE 2 TBSP SEASONED MIXED VEGGIES IN THE CENTRE, PLEAT & JOIN THE ENDS
  6. POTLI SHAPED MOMO IS READY
  7. TRANSFER THE MOMOS ON A GREASED PLATE, STEAM FOR 7-10 MINS
  8. MIX 1/2 CUP HUNG CURD, 1 TBSP TANDOORI MASALA, 1/2 TSP GARAM MASALA
  9. ADD SALT TO TASTE, RED COLOUR ( OPTIONAL)
  10. ADD 1/2 TSP GINGER GARLIC PASTE, MIX WELL
  11. TRANSFER MOMOS INTO THE MARINADE, KEEP ASIDE FOR 15-20 MINS
  12. PLACE THE MOMOS ON A NET OR ROAST ON DIRECT FLAME
  13. TANDOORI MOMOS ARE READY
