  • urad dal 2 cups
  • salt
  • oil
  • poppy seeds for sprinkle

How to make GOINA BORI

  1. SOAK THE URAD DAL OVERNIGHT
  2. GRIND IT TO A SMOOTH PASTE
  3. NOW ADD SALT
  4. MIX THIS WITH YOUR HAND IN ROUND & ROUND MOVEMENT
  5. NOW CHECK THE RIGHT CONSISTENCY BY PUTTING A DOLLOP IN WATER, IF IT FLOATS, THEN U GO FOR IT
  6. PUT A PARCHMENT PAPER/ PLASTIC ON PLATE, BRUSH OIL OVER IT,THEN SPREAD POPPY SEED AND MAKE DESIGNS
  7. MAKE THE DESIGNS OF YOUR CHOICES
  8. NOW KEEP THE PLATE UNDER SUNRAYS
  9. U HAVE TO SUNDRIED THESE BORIES ATLEAST FOR 2 DAYS
  10. SPRINKLE SOME POPPY SEEDS OVER THE TOP TO MAKE THESE MORE CRUNCHY
  11. TAKE OUT THE SUNDRIED BORIES
  12. HEAT OIL BUT NOT SMOKY
  13. FRY IN LOW FLAME
  14. IT DOESN'T TAKE MUCH TIME TO FRY,SO BE CAREFUL
  15. DON'T OVER FRY,KEEP OUT WHEN GET THE BROWN COLOUR IN IT
