ABOUT Chikkudukaya tomato curry RECIPE

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. 1/2 kg Indian Broad Beans/chikkudukayalu, chopped, boil in water and strain
  2. 2 tbsp oil
  3. 1 tsp jeera
  4. 1 tsp mustards
  5. 1 big onion, finely chopped
  6. few curry leaves
  7. 1 tsp turmeric powder
  8. 1 tsp ginger garlic paste
  9. 4 tomatoes, finely chopped
  10. 2 tbsp Chilli powder
  11. salt to taste
  12. few coriander leaves, finely chopped for garnish

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a kadhai or pan.
  2. Add jeera, mustard seeds and let them pop, add curry leaves and finely chopped onions, saute till soft.
  3. Add turmeric, chilli powder and ginger garlic paste and saute further a minute on medium flame.
  4. Add chopped tomatoes and salt, mix and covered, cook till tomatoes get soft.
  5. Add boiled broad beans, mix and covered. Cook for 5 minutes on medium flame.
  6. Finally add chopped coriander leaves and turn off the heat.
  7. Serve hot with rice or chapatis.
