Ingredients to make vadapav

  • 250 gms Boiled n Mashed potatoes
  • 1 chopped onoin
  • 2 fine chopped green chillies
  • salt to taste
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • 2 sp bread crumbs
  • 2 tab sp oil
  • 1tsp mustard seeds
  • 1 tsp urad dal
  • Pinch of hing n curry leaves
  • 2 sp Chopped Green garlic
  • 2 tab sp fine chopped coriander
  • For batter
  • 200 gms gram flour
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
  • oil for fry
  • Green chuteny
  • khajoor-Imli chuteny
  • Dry vadapav powder chuteny

How to make vadapav

  1. Heat oil splutter Mustard n Urad Dal seeds,Add Hing n Curry leaves. Add chopped onion cook till transparent.
  2. Add chopped green chilies, salt n turmeric powder. Off gas n cool it down
  3. Add in Mashed Potatoes, add green chilies, Lemon juice, Breadcrumbs, chopped Garlic n coriander. Mix well n makes balls.
  4. Heat oil dip balls in batter n Fry till golden brown.
  5. Assemble in pav with spread green Chuteny upside n Khajur-Imli Chuteny down side sprinkle dry Chuteny put vada in it.

My Tip:

make batter for vadapav n keep it aside for 30 to 40 mins. no need to add soda for rising or softness.
