  1. 1 cup gram flour
  2. 1/4 cup semolina

Instructions

  1. MIX BESAN, SEMOLINA, IN A BOWL.
  2. GRADUALLY ADD WATER TO THE ABOVE DRY INGREDIENTS TO BRING A DOSA BATTER-LIKE CONSISTENCY.
  3. STIR WELL TO AVOID LUMPS.ADD FOOD COLOUR
  4. DISSOLVE SUGAR, AND WATER IN A PAN AND KEEP IT ON THE STOVE TOP.
  5. MIX IT WELL
  6. THEN ADD ILAYACHI POWDER AND ORANGE COLOUR
  7. MIX IT WELL
  8. HEAT THE OIL IN A PAN. CHECK IF THE OIL IS REAL HOT BY LETTING A DROP OF DOUGH IN THE OIL.
  9. POUR THE DOUGH INTO THE LADLE BY HOLDING THE LADLE AT RIGHT ANGLE TO THE PAN.
  10. FRY THEM UNTIL GOLDEN BROWN. PLEASE MAKE SURE THEY DO NOT TURN MORE CRISP AND HARD.
  11. REMOVE THEM FROM OIL AND TRANSFER TO A TISSUE PAPER
  12. MIX THE BOONDIS, AND SUGAR SYRUP IN A BOWL AND SET ASIDE TO REST FOR 15 TO 20 MINUTS
  13. GIVE IT JUST THREE GENTLE RUNS IN THE GRINDER TO PULSE THE MIXTURE. 
  14. MAKE BALLS IN YOUR PALM
  15. GARNISH WITH GRATED PISTACHIO AND SERVE.
