Ingredients to make Chocolate tart with Chocolate Mousse

  • butter 6 tablespoons melted
  • Caster sugar 5 tbsp
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 1/2 cups non-dairy whipping cream
  • 1 cup milk chocolate
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • Fresh fruits for garnish
  • Chocolate pieces for decoration

How to make Chocolate tart with Chocolate Mousse

  1. To make the tart, whisk sugar with butter till creamy.
  2. Sieve the maida and the cocoa powder into the butter mix.
  3. Gently fold till a dough is formed. Cling wrap and refrigerate for 10 mins.
  4. Roll the dough between two parchment paper till 1/4 cms thick. Cut into pieces of the desired letter or shape.
  5. Remove the excess pieces and place the cut piece on the parchment paper. Let it chill in the fridge for another 10 minutes till firm.
  6. Bake in a preheated oven at 160 degrees Celsius for 8 to 12 minutes or till the edges turn brown.
  7. Let them cool completely.
  8. Whip non-Dairy whipping cream into stiff peaks.
  9. In a microwave safe bowl melt the chocolate and the milk at 30 second intervals until smooth.
  10. Mix chocolate ganache with the whipping cream to make the chocolate mousse.
  11. Place the mousse in a piping bag with a round tip.
  12. Place the first tart piece and pipe dots of mousse on it.
  13. Carefully place the second tart piece over the piped mousse.
  14. Repeat with the piping of mousse. Garnish with fresh fruits and chocolates.
