Jeera Rice(Flavoured Cumin Rice)

Ingredients to make Jeera Rice(Flavoured Cumin Rice)

  • 1cup basmati rice
  • 1tbsp cumin seeds
  • 1inch cinnamon sticks
  • 7_8 black pepper corns
  • 2bay leafs
  • salt to taste
  • 1tbsp ghee
  • as needed freshly chopped coriander leaves

How to make Jeera Rice(Flavoured Cumin Rice)

  1. Take vessel or kadhai add heat 1tsp ghee Now add cinamen sticks, bay leaves,and pepper corn fry it in 2 seconds then add cumin seeds or jeera fry it in medium flame turned till brown add rice give it a good mix and stir and cook it in 2 minutes
  2. After 2minutes add 2cup of water and salt mix it cover the lid and allow the rice water comes boil in high flame After boil the rice water open the lid and stir it now again cover the lid and cook it in 5 minutes in medium flame.
  3. After 5 minutes open the lid and stir it now rice is 70 percent ready again cover the lid and cook it in low to medium flame again 5 minutes
  4. After 5 minutes open the lid and mix it now rice is ready add chopped coriander leaves and switch off the flame serve this jeera rice with any curry as you like.
