Raw Plantain Fritters | Vazlakai Bhaji

Ingredients to make Raw Plantain Fritters | Vazlakai Bhaji

  • Raw banana-1
  • gram flour\ besan flourRice flour-3 tbsp-1\2 cup
  • Rice flour-3 tbsp
  • red chilly powder-1\2 tsp
  • cooking soda-1\4 tsp
  • hing powder-1\2 tsp
  • salt -to taste
  • oil- to fry

How to make Raw Plantain Fritters | Vazlakai Bhaji

  1. Peel the skin of raw banana and make very thin slices of it either with knife or peelers.keep the sliced pieces soaked in water to avoid discoloration.
  2. In a bowl add besan flour,rice flour,chilly powder,hing ,cooking soda and salt.add water little by little and make a thick batter.
  3. Heat oil in a pan.Dip each piece in the batter and fry them in the hot oil on both side .Do the same for all.
  4. Serve hot with chai/tea

My Tip:

Instead of raw banana we can even use bread,paneer,potato or any vegetable.
