Tomato Pulusu

Ingredients to make Tomato Pulusu

  • tomatoes 7 to 8 - chopped
  • onions chopped finely 1 cup
  • Green chilies 3 to 4 slit lengthwise
  • curry leaves few
  • tamarind pulp according taste
  • salt for taste
  • turmeric 2 pinches
  • Red chili powder 1 table spoon
  • mustard seeds 1/4 teaspoon
  • cumin Seed 1/4 teaspoon
  • coriander leaves few
  • sugar 1 table spoon

How to make Tomato Pulusu

  1. Now heat a pan add cumin seeds, mustard seeds when sputters add the chopped onions, green chillies, curry leaves and fry.
  2. When onions turn light brown color , add chopped tomato and fry it for 10 minutes.
  3. Add in tumeric, red chili powder, salt and fry it.
  4. Add tamarind pulp and simmer the flame and let boil for 10 minutes.
  5. Finally, add sugar and mix well.
  6. Switch off the stove , garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot
