Nutty Sesame Cookies

Ingredients to make Nutty Sesame Cookies

  • 1/2 cup white sesame seeds
  • 4 tbsp chopped nuts of choice
  • 11/4 cups flour
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 50 gms soft butter
  • 1/4 cup +2 tbsp granulated sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 tsp Vanilla extract

How to make Nutty Sesame Cookies

  1. Sieve dry ingredients and keep it aside. Toast sesame seeds until golden brown
  2. Beat sugar and butter well. Add egg and blend until frothy. Add vanilla extract and sesame seeds. Mix well
  3. Add dry ingredients and knead soft dough. Preheat oven to 180 , line baking tray
  4. Dust surface with flour. Roll dough and cut the desired shape. Do not roll thin dough. Place cookies in tray. Add chopped nuts to centre and press
  5. Bake for 10-12 minutes until base is golden brown. Allow to cool slightly. Place cookies on rack. Allow to cool completely. Store in airtight container
