Oats Chivda

Ingredients to make Oats Chivda

  • 1 cups oats
  • 1/2 cup murmura
  • 3 tbsp flax seeds
  • 3 tbsp sesame seeds
  • 3 tbsp roasted chana dal
  • 3 tbsp peanuts
  • 2 chopped green chillies
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 1/2 tsp cumin seeds powder
  • 1/4 tsp Asafoetida
  • Handful of curry leaves
  • Salt to taste

How to make Oats Chivda

  1. Dry roast the flax seeds and sesame seeds on medium till they start popping.
  2. On a low flame, heat oil, add turmeric and curry leaves. Saute for a minute.
  3. Add the peanuts, asafoetida and chopped green chillies. Saute till the peanuts turn golden brown.
  4. Now add oats, murmura, flax seeds, sesame seeds, chat masala, putana and salt. Mix well.
  5. Allow it cool and store it in airtight container.
