Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 1 1/2 cup all purpose flour
  2. 2 eggs
  3. 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
  4. 1 1/2 cup club soda (carbonated water
  5. 1 cup sugar
  6. 2 tbsp cocoa powder
  7. 1/8 tsp vanilla essence
  8. 1/2 cup vegetable oil

Instructions

  1. Beat eggs until still in a large size bowl
  2. Add sugar, vanilla essence, oil and continue whisking until well mixed.
  3. Combine flour with baking powder and stir.
  4. Gradually add the flour mixture and club soda to the eggs/ sugar bowl while whisking (sift the flour).
  5. Combine cocoa powder with boiled water (approx 1 tbsp)
  6. Divide the batter in half and add cocoa mixture to one half, stir well.
  7. Take a small 2" deep baking dish, grease with vegetable oil.
  8. Drop few tablespoon of cocoa powder right in the middle of the baking dish, allow a mixture for the cocoa batter to spread on its own and add same amount of non cocoa batter on top of the cocoa batter.
  9. Continue the last two steps until finish.
  10. Preheat oven to 350degree F (176 degree C), bake the cake for 35 minutes
