Coconut Barfi

Ingredients to make Coconut Barfi

  • ghee – 2 tsp
  • cardamom powder – 1/2 tsp
  • coconut grated – 1 cup
  • cashews – 1 tbsp
  • water – 1/4 cup
  • sugar – 3/4 cup

How to make Coconut Barfi

  1. Add ghee, roast the cashews and keep aside.Grease a plate with ghee and keep it ready.Take wide non stick pan add sugar and water mix well till sugar dissolves completely.
  2. Grind the coconut coarsely
  3. Stir well continously.after add grounded coconut.mix well
  4. keep stirring till bubbles star forming at the edges. At this stage add ghee.
  5. Then add cashews and cardamom powder.stir well. After 5 mins it will start thickening and does not sticking the pan and starts coming off easily from the sides of the pan now switch off the flame.
  6. Transfer the mixture to the plate.
  7. cut into squares when its still warm.
  8. Cool it.and store it in airtight container.

Stir it continously and carefully
