Instant Pav Bhaji

Ingredients to make Instant Pav Bhaji

  • Pav pieces 8
  • Chopped carrot 2
  • Chopped capsicum 1
  • Chopped cauliflower 1/2 small
  • Chooped cabbage 1/2 small
  • Chopped onoin 2 medium
  • Chopped potato 2 medium
  • Chopped tomato 2 medium
  • Pea 1 cup
  • Chopped garlic 3-4 cloves
  • Green chillies 2
  • Corriander leaves for garnishing
  • Turmeric powder a pinch
  • Red chilli powder 1 tsp
  • Jeera 1 tsp
  • Salt as per taste
  • Pav bhaji masala 2 tbsp
  • Butter 100 gms

How to make Instant Pav Bhaji

  1. Wash all the vegetables and roughly chop them.
  2. Take all the veggies in a pressure cooker (except tomato and onion) with adding very little water in it just pressure cook it on high flame, up to 4 whistles. Set aside to cool
  3. Once cool, transfer the pressure cooked vegetables into a mixer grinder and grind it just for a second ensuring not to make a fine consistency.
  4. Heat 2 tbsp of butter in a non stick pan and add jeera. Allow it to splutter, add garlic, chopped onions and spices such as salt, turmeric powder, red chilli powder and mix it well. When the onion turn light brown add tomato in it and cook until it becomes soft.
  5. Add corriander powder, pav bhaji masala and ground vegetables and mix all properly. Cook it for another 5 to 8 minutes.
  6. Garnish with chopped coriander and butter.
  7. To serve: Make a cut in between pav, open it and apply butter in it and put it on a hot nonstick pan for getting toasted.
My Tip: Do not over grind the boiled vegetable just grind it for a second.
