Yam and Chickpea Burger

Ingredients to make Yam and Chickpea Burger

  • 4 burger bun
  • 200 grm boiled chickpea
  • 100 grm yam boiled with lemon juice
  • 1 medium size boiled potato or can also use leftover rice
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • salt to taste
  • For coating: 3 tsp corn flour
  • 1 tsp wheat flakes,red chilli flakes
  • a pinch of salt
  • oil for cooking
  • For layering: cheese,onion, fresh lettuce and tomato slice
  • For sauce: mayonnaise,mustard,tomato sauce( quantity is depend on taste)

How to make Yam and Chickpea Burger

  1. In big mixing bowl, mash all boiled ingredients nicely,add salt, black pepper mix well and make tikki of it.
  2. In another bowl, take corn starch,chilli flakes,salt and water and prepare paste for coating.
  3. Heat oil in fry pan, coat tikki with corn starch and wheat flakes. Shallow fry it till crispy and golden brown. Cut the burger into two piece and slightly heat on pan.
  4. Grease the bun with already prepared mayonnaise and mustard sauce assemble onion, tomato,cheese slice,tikki and lettuce leaves.
  5. Serve it hot with tomato sauce.
