  • all purpose flour - 2 and 1/2 cup 
  • sugar - 2 tbsp
  • salt-3/4 tsp
  • Soft butter - 2 tbsp
  • Plain flour for dusting
  • Soft butter for brushing

How to make Homemade Bread

  1. MIX 1 TBSP DRY YEAST, 2 TBSP SUGAR, 1/4 CUP LUKEWARM WATER
  2. KEEP ASIDE FOR 15 MINS TO FROTH
  3. TAKE 2.5 CUPS FLOUR, ADD 3/4 TSP SALT & THE YEAST MIX
  4. KNEAD INTO A SOFT DOUGH USING WARM WATER
  5. ADD 2 TBSP SOFTENED BUTTER, KNEAD FOR 10 MINS
  6. APPLY SOME OIL, COVER & KEEP IN A WARM PLACE TO PROOF FOR 1 HOUR
  7. THE DOUGH WILL DOUBLE UP, SPRINKLE SOME FLOUR ON THE WORK-BOARD, PUT DOUGH OVER IT
  8. FOLD & STRETCH THE DOUGH FOR 10 MINS
  9. TIGHTLY ROLL THE DOUGH, PINCH THE EDGES TO SEAL
  10. PLACE IN A GREASED BREAD TIN, APPLY SOME OIL, COVER & KEEP IN A WARM PLACE FOR 1 HOUR
  11. APPLY SOME BUTTER ON TOP OF THE PROOFED DOUGH
  12. BAKE IN A PREHEATED OVEN AT 180 DEGREES FOR 30-40 MINS
  13. AFTER 15 MINS, PLACE A FOIL PAPER ON TOP OF THE BREAD TO AVOID BURNING ON TOP
  14. BREAD IS READY
  15. COVER WITH A DAMP CLOTH TO AVOID DRYNESS ON TOP
  16. ENJOY FRESHLY BAKED BREAD AT HOME
