Ingredients to make Banana poriyal.

  • Raw bananas 2
  • onion 1 chopped.
  • red chillies 2 chopped
  • curry leaves a few
  • chilli Powder 1/2 tsp
  • coriander powder 1/4 tsp
  • turmeric 2 pinch
  • salt
  • oil 2 tbsp

How to make Banana poriyal.

  1. Peel & Cut bananas like this.
  2. Cook the pieces adding some water , turmeric, & salt. Remove when cooked. Drain excess water. Let it cool a bit. Or pieces will get mashed.
  3. Heat a pan with oil. Add mustard seeds, red chilli & curry leaves. Fry.
  4. Then put onion & fry till done
  5. Then add cooked banana along with all Masalas, Chilli, coriander powders & enough salt.
  6. Add a little more oil, if needed. Fry well for a few minutes. Till cooked.
  7. Serve hot with rice.
