Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. 10 fried green chillies
  2. 1 tbsp rai
  3. 4 dry red chillies
  4. 2 tsp rai (for saalan)
  5. 2 tbsp tamarind chutney
  6. 2 tsp Sengdaana
  7. 2 tbsp white til
  8. 1 tbsp black pepper
  9. 8-10 cashewnuts
  10. oil as required
  11. salt to taste

Instructions

  1. In a mixi, add rai, tamarind chutney, salt, seengdana, white til, cashewnuts, black pepper and make a fine paste.
  2. Heat oil in a pan, add rai and red chillies (broken into two). Saute for a minute.
  3. Add the paste and cook it for a while. Add a little water if required.
  4. Once cooked, place the green chillies on a plate and pour this mixture over it.
