Tawa Pulao

Ingredients to make Tawa Pulao

  • Cooked rice : 3 cups
  • onions : 2
  • tomato : 1/2
  • Green chilli : 1
  • carrot : 1
  • Green peas : 1/2 cup
  • cloves : 1
  • cinnamon : 1 inch piece
  • chilli powder : 1 teaspoon
  • egg : 2
  • tomato ketchup : 1 tablespoon
  • salt : to taste
  • oil : 2 tablespoons

How to make Tawa Pulao

  1. Boil carrot and green peas and keep aside. Heat oil in a pan, add cinnamon and cloves.
  2. Add onions and green chilli. Sauté well.
  3. Once the onion becomes transparent, add finely chopped tomato and saute well untill it becomes mushy.
  4. Add chilli powder, salt and tomato ketchup. Mix well and keep on low flame for 2 minutes.
  5. Add boiled green peas and carrot. Mix well.
  6. Add the cooked rice and mix well. Keep on low flame for 3-4 more minutes and then switch off the flame.
  7. In another pan heat 1/2 teaspoon oil and add the egg. Scramble it well.
  8. Finally add the scrambled egg to the pulao.
  9. Serve pulao with ketchup.
