Ingredients to make Jackfruit biryani

  • 1/2 kg soft jackfruit
  • 1 pc medium sized onion
  • 2 tbsp ginger garlic paste
  • 4 tbsp curd
  • 1 tbsp red chilly powder
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 250 gms Basmati rice
  • 1 pc cinnamon
  • 6 green cardamom
  • 2 pcs clove
  • 2-3 tez patta
  • 1 tsp garam masala powder
  • 1 tbsp Rose water
  • Few drops of biryani essense
  • 2 tbsp ghee
  • 4 tbsp refined oil
  • Salt n pepper to taste

How to make Jackfruit biryani

  1. Wash n soak rice for half an hour.In a vessel hot 4 glasses of water add whole garam masala ,salt and sugar.when water boils add rice and cook until rice has done.make it cool.
  2. In a wok add oil and ghee add tezpatta and then add sliced onion.mk it light colour then add ginger garlic paste,red chilly powder,garam masala powder and salt.fry for 2 mins then add beated curd
  3. Cut the jackfruit into small pieces wash it and boil it till it tender.
  4. Then in the masala add jackfruit after curd and fry till oil separates
  5. Finally in that masala jackfruit add cooked rice ,garam masala powder,rose water,biryani essence salt(as required) and sugar.mixed well ...serve hot with curd or raita or salad.
