Instant Dhokla

Ingredients to make Instant Dhokla

  • 1 cup gram flour
  • 1/4 cup samolina
  • 3/4 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • Pinch of turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp ENO fruit salt
  • 1 tsp grated ginger
  • water as required
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • For tempering-
  • 1 tvsp oil
  • 1 tsp mustard seeds
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 4-5 green chillies
  • 3/4 cup water
  • Few curry leaves

How to make Instant Dhokla

  1. TAKE 1 CUP GRAM FLOUR, ADD 1/4 CUP SEMOLINA, 3/4 TSP SALT
  2. ADD A PINCH OF TURMERIC, 1 TSP EACH OF SUGAR, GRATED GINGER
  3. ADD 2 TBSP LEMON JUICE & WATER TO PREPARE A THICK BATTER
  4. COVER & KEEP ASIDE FOR 15-20 MINS
  5. ADD 1 TSP ENO FRUIT SALT, 2 TBSP WATER, MIX
  6. TRANSFER IT TO AN OIL- GREASED DISH
  7. COVER & COOK IN A MICROWAVE ON HIGH FOR 4 MINS
  8. SPONGY DHOKLA IS READY, LET IT COOL
  9. FOR TEMPERING- HEAT 1 TBSP OIL, ADD 1 TSP MUSTARD SEEDS & FEW CURRY LEAVES
  10. ADD 3-4 SLICED GREEN CHILLIES, 1 TSP SUGAR, 3/4 CUP OF WATER, BOIL & COOL
  11. DEMOULD THE DHOKLA, CUT INTO PIECES, POUR THE TADKA ON TOP
  12. GARNISH WITH FRESH COCONUT & CORIANDER LEAVES
