Ingredients to make Kathal ke kebabs

  • Kathal [jackfruit] 1/2 kg
  • chopped onion 2 tbsp
  • Chopped green chili 1tbsp
  • chopped ginger 2tsp
  • salt to taste
  • Red chili powder 1tsp
  • clove powder 1/4tsp
  • cinnamon powder 1/4tsp
  • Garam masala powder 1/2tsp
  • cumin seeds 1tbsp
  • Roasted gram flour 2tbsp
  • ghee 1tbsp
  • coriander leaves chopped 1tbsp
  • Chat masala powder 1tap
  • lemon juice 1tsp
  • oil
  • Chutney, lemon grated cabbage for serving

How to make Kathal ke kebabs

  1. Peel wash and cut the kathal into small pieces . Now boil it for 10 minutes or till it becomes soft.
  2. Cool and remove the seeds then mash it. Heat ghee in a pan add cumin let them crackle add Ginger green chili and onion saute until softened.

  4. Add red chili powder, garam masala powder, Salt, clove powder, cinnamon powder and mashed kathal mix well.
  5. Now add chat masala powder lemon juice coriander and gram flour.
  6. Cook the mixture for 5 minutes.
  7. Switch off the gas. Divide the dough into equal small portion.
  8. Make kebab shallow fry them till golden and crisp.
  9. Serve hot with chutney. Lemon and grated cabbage

My Tip:

Personally I don't add garam masala powder in any dish.
