This can be used as a base product to make milk shake, unni appam, ada, ela appam.

Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. Jackfruit chopped 2 cups
  2. Jaggery 1 1/2 cups
  3. Cardomom powder 1 teaspoon
  4. Dry ginger powder 1 teaspoon
  5. Ghee 2 table spoon

Instructions

  1. Cook jackfruit till soft in low flame, with out using water, just close it with a lid and stir it frequently
  2. In a pan add 1/4 glass of water and add jaggery powder and boil it till it dissolves and filter it to get rid of dust in it
  3. Add the jaggery syrup to cooked and mashed jackfruit
  4. Add cardamom powder and dry ginger powder
  5. Cook till it thickens and at last add ghee.
  6. Serve hot with cashew chopped toppings
  7. Or let it cool and store in a dry and clean glass jar and store in refrigerator. This can be used for more than a year
