About Watermelon caprese Recipe

A sweeter take on the classic mozzarella tomato basil caprese.

Watermelon caprese

Ingredients to make Watermelon caprese

  • bite sized Watermelon cubes 24
  • small slices of Mozzarella cheese 24
  • slices of black olive 24
  • mint leaves a handful
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • extra virgin olive oil 2 tbsp
  • balsamic vinegar 1 tbsp
  • chopped walnuts 2 tbsp

How to make Watermelon caprese

  1. Take warm water in a bowl and dip mozzarella cubes for 25 minutes. Take a salad platter and arrange watermelon cubes over each one of them and place a mozzarella cubes. Top it with sliced olive and mint leaf.
  2. Prepare dressing by whisking balsamic vinegar, salt and pepper. Pour this dressing over prepared salad cubes and sprinkle chopped walnuts. Serve immediately.

My Tip:

Add some orange zest to the dressing for a citrus punch.
