Raw Banana Plate Pizza

Ingredients to make Raw Banana Plate Pizza

  • For Base :
  • 1 Raw banana, steamed and mashed
  • 1/4 Cup + 2 Tbsp maida
  • 1/2 Tsp Baking powder
  • Less than 1/4 Tsp baking soda
  • salt to taste
  • 1 Tbsp oil
  • For Pizza :
  • 1 Big onion, cut into round shape
  • 2 tomatoes , finely chopped
  • 2 green chillies, finely chopped
  • 1 Cup Mozzaralla Cheese, grated
  • 2 Tbsp Pizza sauce
  • Pizza seasoning and red chilli flakes for garnishing

How to make Raw Banana Plate Pizza

  1. Take mashed vazhakai, maida, baking powder, baking soda and salt in a bowl and mix well. ( Do not add water )
  2. Knead till it get a dough consistency by adding oil.
  3. Once done, divide the dough into 2 big balls.
  4. Take one ball and prepare a round shaped thick base using hands.
  5. Deep fry it in a medium flame until it gets cooked both the sides and turns crispy.
  6. Once done, remove from the oil and drain the excess oil using kitchen towel.
  7. Now take one vazhakai base and spread pizza sauce on it.
  8. Arrange sliced onion followed by tomato and chillies.
  9. Layer it with the grated cheese and place it on the dosa tawa.
  10. Close it with the lid and simmer the flame.
  11. Cook till the cheese starts melting.
  12. Once done, remove from the tawa and garnish with pizza seasoning and red chilli flakes.
  13. Serve hot.
  14. Veggies like capsicum, mushroom etc can also be used.
