Chicken Stuffed Kulcha

Ingredients to make Chicken Stuffed Kulcha

  • For kulcha dough:
  • 2 cup maida
  • 1 tsp Baking powder
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 3/4 cup curd
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 2 tsp oil and butter to grease the kulcha
  • For stuffing:
  • 1 cup chicken minced and boiled
  • 1 onion medium sized chopped
  • 1 tsp ginger
  • 1 tsp Garlic paste
  • 1 tsp coriander
  • 1 tsp red chilli powder
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp fennel
  • 1/2 dry mango powder
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • a pinch of nutmeg powder
  • 1 tsp Lemon juice
  • Salt to taste
  • oil for cooking
  • Fresh coriander leaves
  • Few soya leaves

How to make Chicken Stuffed Kulcha

  1. In a mixing bowl, add all kulcha ingredients, mix well and make a dough and let it rest.
  2. Heat oil in pan, add chopped onion after 2 minutes. Add ginger, garlic paste and after a few seconds add all the filling masala in it and mix well. Finally add salt, soya leaves and fresh coriander leaves in it and let it rest at room temperature.
  3. Now take kulcha dough and knead again and divide it in 4 equal size balls, flatten it on the palm and fill chicken stuffing in it.
  4. Again leave it for 10 - 15 minutes. Make chapati not to thin, grease chapati with butter and sprinkle black and white sesame seeds over it and cook it on a tava till both sides are cooked and slightly brown in colour.
  5. Like this make all the kulchas. Serve it with punjabi chole or any vegetable of your choice.
  6. Serve hot for best taste.
