Perfect for breakfast, a yummy dish made with bananas.

Banana vattayappam

Ingredients to make Banana vattayappam

  • Raw rice 1 cup
  • coconut grated 1/2 cup
  • Cooked rice 1/4 cup
  • Dry yeast less than 1/4 teaspoon
  • salt a pinch
  • Baking powder a pinch
  • sugar 2 table spoon
  • banana small 1 number
  • cashew 10 numbers
  • Kismis 10 numbers

How to make Banana vattayappam

  1. Soak rice for an hour
  2. Grind rice, coconut, yeast and cooked rice
  3. Rest it for 3 hours
  4. Then add salt sugar and baking powder and then coarsely mashed banana
  5. Pour it in a greased plate
  6. Decorate it with cashew and kismis
  7. Steam cook it and serve it by cutting into pieces

My Tip:

Cook in medium flame. Don't over cook
