ABOUT Sweet Potato Tadka Pav RECIPE

Tadka bun is easy to make at home.Adapted this recipe from my blogger friend.I simply add cook and mashed sweet potato .It can be served as breakfast or snacks with a cup of chai.

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. Wheat flour - 2 cups / 250 gms
  2. Kasoori Methi - 1/2 tsp
  3. Chat Masala -1/2 tsp
  4. Red Chilli Powder - 1/4 tsp
  5. Turmeric Powder - 1/4 tsp
  6. Sugar - 2 tsp / 10 gms
  7. Cooked and Mashed Sweet Potato -1/2 cup
  8. Warm Water -1/2 cup
  9. Oil - 15 ml + 1 tsp
  10. Salt -3/4 tsp
  11. Milk -For brushing
  12. Instant Yeast - 1& 1/2 tsp / 3 gms
  13. For Tadka :
  14. Butter -2 tbsp
  15. Kasoori methi -1/2 tsp
  16. Chilli flakes -1 tsp
  17. Coriander leaves - 1 tbsp(finely chopped) / Optional

Instructions

  1. *In a bowl add the all ingredients except milk and water.Mix it well
  2. Now slowly add the water to make a soft and pliable dough
  3. Gently massage it to remove the stickness.At first it will be sticky once you start to massage it will be a soft dough.
  4. Smear the dough with little oil and Cover with a damp cloth and place it in warm and allow to proof an hour
  5. Grease the baking tray and keep ready.After an hour knead the dough for 2 mins and divide them into equal size ball.Arrange it in baking tray
  6. Again give a proof for 30 mins.Now preheat the oven at 230 °C.Brush the rolls with milk.
  7. Bake it for 10-15 mins or until the top of the rolls turn golden brown.
  8. Now heat the butter and add the all ingredients.Apply it over the baked rolls.Serve it warm !!
