Always when you start, preheat the oven for 20 minutes. Line a cake pan with butter paper on the bottom and at the sides, leaving a bit of an extra, so that you can pull out the cake after it is baked.
In a large bowl, with hand blender mix together sugar and oil for 5 minutes and then add the vanilla and orange essence. In a cup add hot water and blend coffee until fully incorporated, now add this to the mixture and beat at high for 5 minutes.
Add eggs one by one and mix till you see the mixture is a little creamy and airy.
Add in the cocoa, baking powder and salt with the help of a sieve.
This is the right time to fold the flour lightly and to do that part the flour into three and add one part at a time with the help of sieve and fold the mixture till the three parts of the flour is mixed fully.
At last add in orange juice, orange zest and mix lightly for 1 minute.
Pour the batter into prepared pan and bake for 60 - 70 minutes, at 260 degree hot oven or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake come out clean.
