ABOUT Kerala Style Chicken Curry RECIPE

It is prepared in many ways.Kerala Style Chicken Curry can be made with or without coconut milk. Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 1 kg Chicken
  2. 5 tsp Coriander Powder
  3. 3 tsp Chilli Powder
  4. 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
  5. 1 tsp Black Pepper Powder
  6. 2 tsp Garam Masala (Ground Spices such as cumin, coriander and cardamom)
  7. 4 tsp Ginger Paste
  8. 4 tsp Garlic Paste
  9. 4 Tomatoes, Diced
  10. 3 Large Onions, Diced
  11. 6 Green Chilles
  12. 3 tbsp Soya Sauce
  13. 4 tbsp Mustard Oil
  14. 10 to 13 Curry Leaves

Instructions

  1. Clean the chicken and make some deep slit in the pieces.
  2. Take a small bowl and combine 1 teaspoon garam masala, coriander powder,chilli powder, turmeric, pepper powder.
  3. Add ginger and garlic paste to the spice mixture and blend everything properly.
  4. Marinate chicken in this mixture for 30 minutes.
  5. Heat oil in pan and fry diced onions, green chilles and curry leaves. Let it cook till the time onion becomes brown.
  6. Add remaining ginger and garlic paste and garam masala to the pan. Add chopped tomatoes and let it cook till it become soft. Add soya sauce and mix everything well.
  7. Finally add chicken and 1/2 cup of water. Cover the pan and let it boil.
  8. Remove the cover for 2 or 3 times and let the chicken cook from both the sides till is roasted. Garnish it with curry leaves and enjoy.
