About Ethaka appam Recipe

A delicious snack, made with bananas.

Ethaka appam

Ingredients to make Ethaka appam

  • Nenthran pazham ( Kerala banana) 3 numbers
  • maida 1 cup
  • sugar 3 table spoon
  • sesame seeds 1 teaspoon
  • salt a pinch
  • turmeric powder a pinch
  • oil for frying

How to make Ethaka appam

  1. Cut banana in to half and then slice each piece into 3slices
  2. In a bowl add maida, sugar,salt, sesame seeds ,turmeric powder,and water to make a baji batter consistancy
  3. Dip each slice in the batter and deep fry in medium heat.
  4. Serve hot

My Tip:

To make it more crispy add a table spoon of raw rice flour
