Ingredients to make Shahi Chicken Mughlai

  • Chicken - 1 kg
  • Cashew paste - 1 tbsp
  • Almond paste - 1 tbsp
  • Onions - 3 nos.
  • Tomatoes - 2 small
  • Butter - 1/2 cup
  • Ginger paste - 1/2 tbsp
  • Garlic paste - 1/2 tbsp
  • Red chilly powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Garam Masala Powder - 1 tsp
  • Kashmiri Chilly powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Cream - 1 tbsp
  • Salt - as reqd.

How to make Shahi Chicken Mughlai

  1. Cut and wash Chicken pieces.
  2. Make puree from Tomatoes. Make paste from onions. Add Salt in Chicken pieces and fry in oil for 5 minutes.
  3. Melt Butter in Pan and Add Onion paste , Ginger paste , Garlic paste and Tomato Puree. Mix all well and cook for 2 minutes. Add fried Chicken pieces and let it boil for a few minutes.
  4. Add Red Chilly powder, Kashmiri Chilly powder and Turmeric powder and saute. Add Garam masala powder and salt and cook on medium flame for 3 minutes. Add Cashew and Almond paste and water. Cook for 10 minutes on low flame.
  5. When it Semi done add Fresh Cream and mix well.
  6. Cook till Chicken will done.
  7. Serve Hot with Pulav or Naan.
