About Dahi Ke Aaloo Recipe

Dahi Ke Aaloo

Ingredients to make Dahi Ke Aaloo

  • oil 2 tsp
  • Aesafoitida 1 pinch
  • jeera 1 tsp
  • ginger 1" piece grated
  • Green/red chillies 2 finely chopped
  • tomatoes 4 medium sized roughly chopped
  • salt to taste
  • haldi 1 tsp
  • Kashmiri red chilli Powder 1 tsp or to taste
  • curd 1 cup beaten smooth
  • water 1/2 cup
  • coriander for garnishing

How to make Dahi Ke Aaloo

  1. Heat oil in a kadhai
  2. Add hing and jeera let the seeds splutter
  3. Add grated ginger
  4. Add tomatoes and chillies. Mix well for a minute
  5. Allow the tomatoes to become mushy
  6. Adding a little salt helps speed up the process
  7. Add Haldi Lal mirch and mix again, simmer the flame
  8. Add fresh boiled lightly hand mashed potatoes and mix well
  9. Add beaten curd to the mix. Ensure the flame is on sim else curd will curdle
  10. Mix curd well into potatoes
  11. Add lil water and salt if needed
  12. Garnish woth coriander and serve with paranthas
  13. Easy does it :)
