a healthy version of samosas which are baked and made with whole wheat flour.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. For The Stuffing
  2. 2 cups peeled , boiled and mashedraw bananas
  3. 1 tsp chilli powder
  4. 1 tsp sugar
  5. 1 tsp garam masala
  6. 1 tsp dried mango powder 
  7. 1 tsp coriander cumin seeds powder
  8. 1 tsp lemon juice
  9. 1 tsp chaat masala
  10. 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  11. 1 tsp roasted fennel seeds powder
  12. For The Dough
  13. 2 cups plain flour
  14. 2 tsp oil
  15. salt to taste
  16. for chat
  17. 1/4 cup onion, finely chopped
  18. 1/4 cup tomato, finely chopped
  19. few coriander leaves, finely chopped
  20. 2 tsp mint coriander chutney / green chutney
  21. 2 tsp tamarind dates chutney
  22. 1/2 tsp red chilli powder
  23. 1/2 tsp chaat masala
  24. 1 cup sev
  25. salt to taste
  26. 1 tbsp lime juice 

Instructions

  1. Combine all the ingredients for the stuffing, mash and mix well. Divide the stuffing into equal portions and keep aside.
  2. Combine all the ingredients for the dough and knead into a tight dough by adding required amount of water
  3. Divide the dough into equal portions and shape into small balls and roll into a medium thin puri.
  4. Cut this puri to a semi-circle.Fold the semi-circle to a cone. Put a portion of stuffing and seal the edges with the help of water.
  5. Repeat the same process with the remaining stuffing and dough to make more samosas.
  6. now keep them in a baking tray.
  7. brush the samosa with some oil.
  8. bake the samosas in a preheated oven at 180 degrees celsius for 30 to 35 minutes, till the crust is golden and crisp. i baked for 34 minutes. oven temperatures vary so do keep a check.

  10. take 2 hot samosas, and roughly break it into small pieces and place in a plate.
  11. pour over the samosas top with the sweet tamarind chutney, green chutney.
  12. now add chopped onion and tomatoes.
  13. now add lots of sev over samosa chaat.
  14. sprinkle the spice powder like chilli powder, chaat masala according to your taste.
  15. serve the samosa chaat immediately after garnishing with chopped coriander leaves with hot masala tea.
