About Fried Plantain Split Recipe

An ultimate dessert to serve with ice cream. The almond and raisins stuffed in the slits give you awesome feel for every bite.

Fried Plantain Split

Ingredients to make Fried Plantain Split

  • Ripened Plantains 2
  • Brown sugar 1 table spoon
  • butter 1 table spoon
  • almond slivers 2 table spoons
  • raisins 1 table spoon

How to make Fried Plantain Split

  1. Peel off and cut in to two horizontally.
  2. Now vertically split them in to two.
  3. Make a slit on all the pieces in the middle vertically.
  4. In a pan melt butter
  5. Add brown sugar and give fast stirs to caramelise
  6. Now add the banana pieces and fry them
  7. Fry till the plantain fruit pieces are coated well and become well roasted
  8. Take them out and with a spoon feed the almonds and raisins in to the slits and serve.

My Tip:

Using plantain fruit instead of bananas give special flavour
