About Sweet potato muthiya Recipe

Healthy and delicious muthiyas, made with sweet potatoes. This is a perfect side dish to be served with dal and rice.

Ingredients to make Sweet potato muthiya

  • Sweet potato 2 medium peeled and shredded
  • ginger 2 tsp
  • lemon juice 1 tsp
  • salt to taste
  • green chilly 3-4 chopped
  • Chestnut flour 1 cup
  • Rajgeera flour 1/2 cup
  • For seasoning
  • oil 1 tsp
  • mustard seeds 1 tsp
  • Sessaame seeds 1 tsp
  • cumin seeds 1 tsp
  • asafoetida a pinch
  • curry leaves

How to make Sweet potato muthiya

  1. Take a sweet potato. Washing,peeling and greating sweet potato.
  2. Add salt,lemon juice, ginger, cumin coriander powder Add sugar and mix well.let it sit for 10-15 minute.
  3. Now add both flour.mix well to form dough.
  4. Add green chilly and mix well.
  5. Prepare a steamer.
  6. Make muthiya.place these in the steamer and let them stem for 15 minutes.
  7. Let them cool down a bit , before you slice them.
  8. In a pan add oil.Asafoetida, cumin seeds, mustard seed curry leaves and sesame seeds add muthiya. Mix well.

My Tip:

Serve with green chutney.
