A simple & easy curry with a very few ingredients. A favourite dish of most of our grand parents.

Jackfruit curry.

Ingredients to make Jackfruit curry.

  • Raw jack fruit 2 cups
  • Crushed garlic 2 cloves.
  • chilli powder 1 tsp ( or less according to taste)
  • turmeric 2 pinch.
  • salt
  • curry leaves a few
  • coconut oil 2 tbsp.

How to make Jackfruit curry.

  1. Remove seeds from Jack fruit & cut into small pieces. put in pressure cooker , along with some water ,Chilli powder, turmeric & salt. Cook till one or two whistles.
  2. When pressure goes , open cooker & mash the pieces with the laddle a bit. Remove from cooker.
  3. There should be enough gravy.
  4. add coconut oil & curry leaves. Stir well.
  5. Serve hot with rice. Gravy will be a bit watery. That s the taste of this curry.

My Tip:

The curry should be a little watery. That means not so thick. That s the taste of this. Use only coconut oil.
