It's a yummy sea food dish perfect to eat for lunch or dinner.

Prawns fry

Ingredients to make Prawns fry

  • 1/2 kg prawns
  • red chilli paste 2 tbsp
  • red chilli powder 2 tbsp
  • ginger-garlic paste 1 tbsp
  • turmeric powder- a pinch
  • vinegar 1 tbsp
  • Red colour a pinch
  • tomato puree 1 tbsp
  • semolina 1 tsp
  • Chopped ginger 1 tsp
  • Few curry leaves
  • salt to taste
  • coconut oil for frying
  • green chillies 2

How to make Prawns fry

  1. First make a paste with red chilli powder, red chilli paste, turmeric powder, ginger-garlic paste, semolina ,vinegar, red colour and salt to taste.
  2. Next apply this paste on the cleaned prawns and keep it to marinate for 30 mins.
  3. Than take a pan, heat coconut oil and add the chopped ginger, green chillies and curry leaves. Fry it for 2 mins.
  4. In this oil, shallow fry the prawns till it gets roasted.
  5. Garnish it with curry leaves and serve as shown in the picture.

My Tip:

Always wash the sea food with vinegar, a pinch of turmeric and salt to get rid of the smell.
