Idli Dhoklas

Ingredients to make Idli Dhoklas

  • 1 cup besan
  • 1/2 cup suji
  • 1 teaspoon grated ginger
  • 3-4 tablespoon curd
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • salt(to taste)
  • 1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1 teaspoon eno
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • For tadka :
  • 1 teaspoon oil
  • 1 teaspoon mustard seeds
  • Pinch of hing
  • 8-10 curry leaves
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1 cup water

How to make Idli Dhoklas

  1. ADD BESAN AND SUJI IN A BOWL.
  2. ADD GRATED GINGER AND CURD TO IT.
  3. ADD SUGAR, SALT AND TURMERIC POWDER.
  4. ADD WATER AND MAKE A SMOOTH BATTER.
  5. ADD LEMON JUICE AND ENO. MIX IN ONE DIRECTION.
  6. GREASE IDLI MOULDS AND POUR BATTER IN IT. STEAM FOR AROUND 30 MINUTES.
  7. TAKE THEM OUT WHEN STEAMED.
  8. HEAT OIL IN A PAN. ADD MUSTARD SEEDS, HING AND CURRY LEAVES.
  9. ADD GREEN CHILLI AND WATER. ADD SALT AND SUGAR. GIVE IT A BOIL. POUR IT OVER PREPARED DHOKLAS.
