About Garlic Dal Recipe

This is a yummy dal made with garlic, to be served with some steamed rice or roti.

Garlic Dal

Ingredients to make Garlic Dal

  • moong dal 1/2 cup
  • garlic 15-20 cloves
  • turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
  • salt
  • For tadka :
  • Sesame oil
  • cumin seeds - 2 tsp
  • 2 red chillies
  • 2 green chillies
  • curry leaves - 10
  • coriander leaves

How to make Garlic Dal

  1. BOIL 1/2 CUP MOONG DAL. ADD 1/4 TSP TURMERIC
  2. ADD OIL IN TADKA PAN, ADD 1/2 TSP JEERA, 2 RED CHILLIES AND 2 GREEN CHILLIES
  3. ADD TADKA TO MOONG DAL
  4. FRY 15-20 GARLIC CLOVES IN TADKA PAN WITH LITTLE OIL. ADD CURRY LEAVES
  5. ADD GARLIC CLOVES AND CORIANDER LEAVES TO MOONG DAL
  6. ADD SALT AND MIX
  7. CLOSE WITH A LID AND COOK FOR 10 MINUTES
  8. MASH FEW GARLICS FOR GREAT FLAVOUR
