Ingredients to make Rajasthani panchmel dal

  • 1/4Th cup tuvar dal
  • 1/4 Th cup green moong split dal
  • 1/4 th Cup chana dal
  • 1/4 Th cup yellow mogar dal
  • 1/4Th cup masoor dal
  • 1Finely chopped onion
  • 1Finely chopped tomato
  • 1/2Tsp grated ginger
  • 1Tsp red chilly powder
  • 1/2Tsp garam masala powder
  • 1/2Tsp turmeric powder
  • 1/2 Tsp corriander powder
  • 1Dry red chilly
  • Pinch of asaifoeidita
  • 1Tbsp ghee
  • Some curry leaves
  • salt to taste
  • Little kasoori methi

How to make Rajasthani panchmel dal

  1. ADD 1/4 TH CUP EACH GREEN SPLIT MOONG DAL , TUVAR DAL , MASOOR DAL
  2. 1/4 CUP OF CHANA DAL AND YELLOW MOGAR DAL
  3. ADD WATER TO DAL
  4. WASH IT 3-4 TIMES
  5. SOAK FOR 30 MINUTES WITH ENOUGH WATER AND PRESSURE COOK IT WITH 3-4 WHISTLES
  6. ADD 1TBSP GHEE TO PAN
  7. ADD PINCH OF ASAFOIEDITA AND 1/2 TSP OF CUMMIN SEEDS
  8. ADD 1/2 TSP OF MUSTARD SEEDS 5-6 CURRY LEAVES AND 1DRY CHILLY
  9. ADD CHOPPED ONIONS
  10. ADD 1 TSP OF RED CHILLI POWDER AND 1/2 TSP OF TURMERIC POWDER
  11. ADD 1 TSP OF DRY CORRIANDER POWDER AND 1/2 TSP OF GARAM MASALA
  12. ADD 1/2 TSP OF AAMCHUR POWDER
  13. ADD 1TSP OF GRATED GINGER
  14. AFTER A MIX ADD FINELY CHOPPED TOMATOES
  15. AS TOMATOES ARE COOKED ADD SALT
  16. ADD COOKED DAL
  17. MIX IT AND COOK FOR 5-7 MINUTES
  18. DAL IS READY TO SERVE
  19. SERVE IN SERVING BOWL
  20. SPRINKLE SOME KASOORI METHI OVER IT AND SERVE
