ABOUT Prawn chamba RECIPE

This is my grand mother's recipe. She used to grind all masala by hand and use for curries .. she never used powdered masala . So this recipe brings back those fond memories , a delicious and easy curry made with prawns to be served with some steamed rice on the side.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Garlic 20 pods
  2. Dry Chilli 10
  3. Cumin 1 tsp
  4. Onion 3 chopped
  5. Tomatoes 2 chopped
  6. Cleaned prawns 250 grm
  7. Oil
  8. Salt
  9. Turmeric - 1/2 tsp
  10. Curry leaves

Instructions

  1. GARLIC 20 PODS, DRY CHILLI 10NOS, CUMIN 1 TSP, CLEANED PRAWNS 250 GRM, CHOPPED ONION AND TOMATOES
  2. HEAT PAN AND POUR OIL
  3. ADD CHOPPED ONIONS
  4. LET IT FRY TILL GOLDEN BROWN
  5. NOW GRIND GARLIC, DRY CHILLI, AND CUMIN
  6. GRIND COARSELY.
  7. ADD SALT IN FRYING ONION
  8. NOW ADD CHILLI GARLIC PASTE
  9. MIX THEM
  10. ADD TURMERIC
  11. ADD CHOPPED TOMATOES
  12. MIX THEM UP TILL IT SEPERATES OIL
  13. NOW ADD CLEANED PRAWNS
  14. LET IT COOK . DON'T CLOSE THE LID
  15. LET IT COOK TILL OIL SEPERATES
  16. ITS DONE
  17. PUT SOME CURRY LEAVES AND SWITCH OFF THE FLAME AND SERVE
