Banana unniappam

Ingredients to make Banana unniappam

  • coconut - 1/2 Cup (chopped into small pieces| Ghee - For frying
  • jaggery-1cup
  • water -needed
  • Rice flour-11/2 cup
  • banana-2
  • Whole wheat flour-1/2cup
  • salt-neede
  • baking soda-1/4tbsp
  • cardamom powder-1 tbsp
  • sesame seeds-1tbsp(roasted)
  • ghee

How to make Banana unniappam

  1. Cut coconut pieces
  2. Heat 1tbsp in a pan roast coconut pieces comes to aroma smell
  3. Add one cup of water and jaggery melt it and let it cool
  4. Dry roast rice flour and wheat flour just 1or 2 mins only.
  5. Let it cool
  6. Grain the banana
  7. Take a bowl add rice and wheat flour add jaggery syrup add banana
  8. Mix well
  9. Rest at 30 mins
  10. Cardamom powder and sesame seeds baking soda
  11. Mix well like idly bater
  12. Heat oil for deep frying or using paniyaaram pan
  13. Take one spoon of batter and fry
  14. Both sides till golden and crispy
  15. Drain on a paper towel
