Ingredients to make Pazha Bajji / Pazham Pori / Banana fritters

  • riped nendiran banana -1
  • for bajji batter :maida - 1 cup
  • rice powder - 1 tbsp
  • sugar - 3- 4 tbsp
  • salt - pinch
  • baking powder - pinch
  • cardamom - 2 (optional)
  • turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
  • coconut oil - 100 ml or to fry

How to make Pazha Bajji / Pazham Pori / Banana fritters

  1. Peel the riped nendran banana and cut into half and make long strips.
  2. Grind 3- 4 tbsp sugar with 2 pods of cardamom(optional)
  3. now for batter, In a bowl add maida,rice flour, turmeric powder,baking powder,powdered sugar,pinch salt and add water 1/2 - 3/4 cup little by little,mix well..batter is ready. Dip the nendran banana strips in it.
  4. Heat coconut oil in a pan, fry the batter dipped banana strips.
  5. Fry in medium flame till golden yellow colour.Now pazha bajji or pazham pori is ready.

My Tip:

Instead of adding rice flour, add 2 tbsp of dosa or idli batter.
