About Raw banana dahi vada Recipe

Dahi vada is one of the famous chaat in India, here I have made this vada with raw plantain which gives a twist to the vada. Sweet n sour tamarind chutney and sweet curd is a perfect combination with this vadas.

Ingredients to make Raw banana dahi vada

  • 2 raw plantain or banana
  • 3 small size potato
  • 1/2 teaspoon grated ginger
  • 3 teaspoon besan
  • salt to taste
  • oil for frying
  • 1 cup beaten curd
  • 1/2 teaspoon red chilli powder
  • 1 teaspoon chat masala
  • 1/2 teaspoon roasted cumin powder
  • 3/4 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 tablespoon tamarind chutney

How to make Raw banana dahi vada

  1. Take out all the things at one place so that you don't forget anything.
  2. Boil the raw bananas and potatoes in pressure cooker for five minutes.
  3. Take out the boiled things and peel them and mash properly.
  4. Now add grated ginger, besan and salt in it and mix well and make vada.
  5. Deep fry on low flame.
  6. Now take out fried vadas in a bowl and pour curd over it and sprinkle cumin powder and chat masala and tamarind chutney on it.
  7. Serve immediately tangy raw plantain dahi vadas.

My Tip:

Don't fry on high flame otherwise it will be disperse in oil.
