About Raw banana raita Recipe

This is inspired from potato raita. My mom prepares potato raita often during fasting.

Raw banana raita

Ingredients to make Raw banana raita

  • Raw bananna - 1
  • pomegranate seeds - 1/2 cup
  • curd - 500 ml
  • tomato - 1 medium size
  • onion - 1 medium size
  • green chillies - 2
  • coriander leaves - 1/2 small bunch
  • Roasted cumin powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Black salt - to taste

How to make Raw banana raita

  1. Peel and roughly chop the bananas.
  2. Pressure cook it for one whistle. Allow the pressure to release on its own.
  3. Meanwhile, chop onion, tomato, green chillies and coriander leaves.
  4. Mash banana. Mix it with curd and chopped onions, tomatoes, coriander leaves and pomegranate seeds.
  5. Add black salt and roasted cumin powder. Mix it well. Raita is ready!

My Tip:

You can use sendha namak and avoid onion if you want to have it during fastings.
